Keep in mind that if people genuinely care about safety then we should simply look at where the streets are already much safer than ours in the US, and how they got there. Interestingly, some cities in Europe are the best place for street safety – yet they have no robotaxis at all! Instead, they have far better street design. So if companies or politicians really want to improve safety then let the robotaxis gather dust along with Google Glass, Hyperloop, Fusion, Metaverse, and so much more. Instead, promote better street design (and speed governors, too).
